“How ergonomists can respond to the challenges of a greener future”
In this free webinar CIEHF Fellow Margaret Hanson will highlight some of the opportunities that tackling the challenges of climate change bring for ergonomists.
She will discuss ergonomics issues in jobs relating to renewable energy production, how ergonomics and environmental agendas overlap and the design of ‘greener’ products. She will also talk about how we can use knowledge of ergonomics to help change behaviour in order to reduce our environmental impact.
The webinar will offer a broad overview of the issues with attendees encouraged to think about how ergonomics practice can complement and support environmental sustainability.
Margaret has been working as an ergonomist for over 20 years, undertaking research, consultancy and training, and has run her own ergonomics consultancy, WorksOut, for 10 years. She has an interest in how ergonomics can contribute to environmental sustainability and leads the Green Ergonomics Special Interest Group on behalf of the CIEHF.
